i live among "brahmins" (the priest caste of hinduism), i learnt sanskrit in school from a very young age (i went to a conservative school), and i've read multiple sacred texts both english and sanskrit, and i went further deep into my research than most "religious" hindus ever will.

i will tell u the good takeaways first:

- its texts, the bhagavad gita, mahabharata, and ramayana. they are excellent stories -- full of gray characters and high philosophy, which i legit admire, even the "good guys" are extremely gray and hypocritical. and it is up to the reader to have their own interpretation. which is GOOD but at the same time terrible since most indian retards lack the basic apprehension skills to know what to do with their life, let alone have a sense of ethics within themselves, im not saying all of them lack this, but MOST lack it, its true, otherwise india wouldn't be a shithole like it is.

- most of the science is ray peat tier, a lot of which i disagree with personally, but yeah the science is out there, and its something i guess.

- basically all these subsections are in the form of "vedas" or basically like a foundation text, u can read about them to fascinate urself and mire. i do that sometimes myself and its fun/cool to see how people lived a certain way.

bad things/terribly implemented things:

- despite being so gray/accepting of differences in human nature, it segregates people a lot via caste (i hope u know what caste system is) and that ultimately defies Darwinism (which i consider the ultimate form of nature).
the best in nature wins and ought to win.
imagine a soldier caste guy not being able to do business despite being a natual at it, because he needs to be "a soldier for life", thats so stupid to me. of course modern day caste segregation is different is different but in its core original foundation, it has this flawed system.

- awful eugenics, its eugenics system is based on caste and in theory it sounds cool but in reality u wont see a difference between a low caste guy and a high caste guy in terms of looks or iq. its super random. u will see a very good looking skinny fair low caste guy and a very dark fat high caste guy.

- modern day orthodox** hindus dont consume meat, its retarded as shit, nowhere in any script of hinduism has it been mentioned that meat/beef consumption is banned. the cow worship is only to cows that are ""I'm a creepy obese loser"", basically meaning cows that can bear birth should be used to make more calves and not killed for meat consumption. thats it. modern day orthodox hindus dont get it. they are dumb as hell i told u.

yeah that's a small gist.

detailed response i appreciate

- i don't believe in worshipping cows, being "shudra" , bathing in shit water worshipping the rat gods ect and no book can convince me, legit.

don't have any thought out opinions on indian society. Wasn't brahmin caste originally meant to maintain the indo-aryan race?

- you think sanskrit worth learning? can you speak it and do you ever meet fellow speakers and bond bc of it? It's awesome how it has bigger extant literature than latin (RIP latin) Occasionally read of western scientists who are super into it, who vouch for it 100%

- highly skeptical of neo-darwinism evolution theory, though it could be true. Though heritability, natural selective mechanisms ect are obviously legit. mayb will write a thread and tag u

- thoughts on micheal cremo? seems interesting but never looked deep into it. I haven't heard of any other hindu researchers, forefront of science is in west and a little bit soviet sphere. I moreso mean science that is suggestive/doesn't contradict as expected than straight up science confirming hindu beliefs (ex. global consiousness @ stanford) My impression is the sanskrit texts have a degree of interesting knowledge that possibly will be re-discovered in the future, if not something to take at face value. Interested in all ancient sources.
