i just got a free copy of Bhagavad Gita.
haven't researched it that much, but i actually do have immense respect for hindu/sanskrit scholars and their religious tradition.
i find it extremely cringe that without fail, every single nonwestern culture in the world larps western values and ideological framework.
"that is not really a thing, togo is a very advanced, modern country. Maybe in 1960. Superstition is a vestige of the past. We believe in the scientific model."
what im pretty sure is legit:
- its from 10k+ years ago
- the complexity of the literature and linguistic structure is an anomaly in conventional model of human prehistory.
- cosmic cycles are, ufos, anomalies, ect are legit. lots of correlation and support from modern research
- some of the gods are real (tbh i don't want to fuck with them, they scare me)
thoughts? is it worth reading?
