No, traditional gender roles are the foundation of culture, they're not the same thing
true tbhs but i would argue more foundational is the technological/economical/society system that necessitated traditional gender roles
trying to artifically "preserve" either is ultimately doomed, though probably possible with power not ever going to be available.
i consider traditional gender roles as a foundation because at the end of the day, no matter how many tech/econ/soc systems we create, the basis for preservation of "humans" is reproduction and traditional gender roles facilitate reproduction the best in a logical manner (males being the providers since they have bigger bones and ruthless etc and females being caretakers since they are more emotional and empathetic etc)
