i spent most of my gap year larping as an extremely poor person
- going to dollar general, salvation army, goodwill (normie tier in 2023)
- Spending weekdays going around poor neighboorhoods on a wobbly bike collecting cans
- Dumpster Diving (i collected scrap metals for sale)
- collecting wild plants
- Shoplifting
- exploring how cheap i can go without impacting quality of life (using 2005 pc, drinking seed oil and animal feed for substinance,
- Going to soup kitchens, food distribution lines, free clinics ect
I learned quickly society did not accept this and everyone mockecd me. I made the mistake of admitting I was just a hobbyist to some cathlic jb at the soup kitchen who got me banned after screeching at me about how my behavior brought shame to my family, bible verse, said i was going to hell.
no one seems to get the aesthetic of it. I had a bluepilled friend I went backpacking for a month with, wandering around the forest and mountains on psychedelics, sleeping on the ground. But suddenly living off the land isn't cool when the land gives you canned food and pizza instead of disgusting forest roots and mushrooms that taste like unwashed asshole and make you retarded.
I went to go out to eat with him to show this trick where you just order a soda and take the left over food from other people when the servers weren't looking. He gave some cucked response and the standard normie look of fake disgust and contempt. Like, uhhhhhh ok? you're cool because you spent 40$ on shitty microwave food from an applebees. Congrats, enjoy the 4 h of wageslaving again so you can buy some ugly whore a gourmet hot dog
last summer I went to NYC without my phone or any money. All I had was a bus ticket home next week. I wandered around, ate trash people left around (some dumbass left his whole fafafel to go buy shoes) slept in random places (subway, truck bed, trump building, public bathroom), read books, stole a bike and threw it into the sea. 10/10 ngl.
lately I've been too busy studycelling, wageslaving, reading ect to pursue this, but I intend to just chill and wander around for a few years when I have some money.
