from a historical perspective, greece is arguably the coolest country. and i'm not trying to dick ride kath or anything here
Athens is pretty ugly because of rapid expansion post-ww2 with no urban planning
but it's not as awful as Russia, which OP idealizes. Every city/place has its highlights but as a whole Russia is pretty dull, muddy, depressive..
