if you want to learn the quran,start with ahmed khedr,his quran recitations have english 'interpretations aka translations'and he has probabely the best voice of all recitors.

I personally think islamic neoplatonism is 100% logical and in the search of truth you will end up there,the akbarian school of sunni sufis and the sadrians of the twelvers believe in this,even if it isn't consistent with their authentic hadeeth texts always.
