reminder the Egyptians had Elite-tier Masons, and those were all architects and engineers. to think those people were super-midwitted is phenotypical by the idea of 'progress' of soycients the same who are puzzled by those ancient civilizations while dismissing the foundational layer they provided to our civilization

they also had 'machinery' back then, just not the exact same thing, as usual the appearences change but not the substance proving permanence/cyclicality of time
