Very correct. However, a lot of my favourite religious chants are in minor, which is generally considered to be "dark/sad", but, I think its very profound and solemn, as contemplation should be, not that yee yee I love Jesus Christian rock/country music.
Example:
Perhaps some prosaic classical like Mozart is acceptable.
Also, Bach composed lots of dark music, but he was one of the most devoted Christians I've ever seen in music; he talked about God and Christianity incessantly (I say this as a positive thing).
