why is the culture of this site so friendly?

if you pay attention, most users are just looking for opportunities to agree with other people's input

and it goes way deeper than just the usual acceptance, tolerance or feminism - everyone seems to be rabidly fixated on "open-mindedness", like we are in some sort of self-congratulatory competition

why not just communicate in an unfriendly manner and look at the toxic side of bookism characters and their takes on the world, instead of bombing them with love, and acceptance of everything they say?

honestly, I'm not sure I want to be a part of such a community anymore
