Antipsychotics shrink the brain

i'm surprised they use antipsychotis still. it's useless other than inducing drowsiness, which is its mainly effect, and can be replaced by other less nocive existing meds. i don't think they do know if it shrinks the brain, this comes from an experiment done on primates, in humans i guess it could be related to accelerated aging process and altered metabolism

it's not well understood enough to have a good alternative treatment

it doesn't matter if it shrinks the brain because the alternative is lobotomy/bullet in skull
