tbh 4chan (using that as an example because it's the antithesis of reddit, in terms of views/outlooks on life), probably has the same problem of lack of critical thinking, it's just less noticeable because their default opinions are more appealing on average

i fault it on emotion. another thing i see, is rushed assumptions, but not sure if you are referring to that too
