He took something obvious and which doesn’t impact the vast majority of people and latched into it as some sort of treatment for adults lol. Sure, oral posture can affect maxillary development, but how often do you see someone who genuinely has their tongue off their palates 24/7 for years while their sutures are still open? Even in such a case, the resulting jaw deformity would be so apparent and deviate so much from longitudinal studies on development using lateral cephs, they would need to see a surgeon and ortho. Adults who have legitimate bite discrepancies need to sit down with an omfs, not shove balloons in their noses and chew gum like a weirdo, practice precise swallowing methods and so on under the direction of dr mew.
His overall perception of jaw development isn’t wrong, but it isn’t profitable or even feasible to have much of a patient load unless it’s perverted and sold off as treatment, especially for adults lol.
I respect him for trying to elucidate people about this and encouraging things like normal posture and clear noses, healthy airways and so on but the treatment he touts for adults is just ridiculous unless the patient is class 1 in the first place, in which case it won’t be harmful but rather a waste of time to line his pockets a bit.
