he ll go on and on about how to achieve, for instance, peace of mind and provide examples and analogies to back his view up, and when his interlocutor asks a simple question debunking his entire previous word salad-based monologue, he'll just try to dodge it by saying something like "that's not what i mean by peace of mind"

his interest in analyzing and overthinking about how to become happy, content and productive isn't his genuine choice, it's a fucking symptom of depression he's already suffering from due to his subpar brain chemistry that's probably inherited. he's just more successful selling himself than your average depressed, miserable nobody
every single deeply (and permanently) depressed person i ve known since hs had one thing in common - fixating on motivational content and constantly talking about the stuff this guy is preaching
they simply get off on externalizing their desperate desire to feel some joy in life, similarly to how guys unsuccessful to women dedicate all their time talking about it and developing quasi-theoretical frameworks (and repeating obvious truths like "women prefer attractive men over the ugly ones" over and over again) that should help them rise above their misery
