you don't seem to understand that people especially women lie all the time and will lie to a rich guy or a good looking guy about thinking something is cool when in reality they are just trying to gain favor. it's the same on a society level, when you have celebs push something people will pretend to be on board cause they think all the rich / good looking people are on board and they want to be included within the "in" group and not see themselves as an outsider to the "in" group.

i really doubt you listen to rap music on your own just cause your rich friend does, instead you just tolerate it around them cause they are rich and you want to be "in" with them.

post a pic of your personal homemade rap playlist to prove me wrong and tell me whom your 10 favorite rappers.

you dont seem to understand that most people arent as sentient as we are and dont deeply question their own motives/psychology. lots of people buy into stuff because its popular and they dont even think about it on a deep enough level to second guess themselves. psychology is not a cut and dry type thing, there is much about the mind that is amorphous and hard to precisely delineate. most people cant parse out what they REALLY want as opposed to whats being pushed onto them; this is the essential conundrum of the NPC archetype

the anecdote about rap music happened well over a decade ago when I was still a young adult; and yes I did genuinely start listening to some rap or at least being more open to it because it was haloed by my rich friend. no I dont listen to rap these days

the same with women, they will listen to the rap music of the rich guy until the rich guy dumps them then they will stop listening to rap again. there is also a society factor now, cause of mass media, big government, and the need for women to want to be part of the "in" group due to them not being able to survive in nature. a lot of men are also like this now, subhuman males who couldn't survive in nature so they signal out whatever the "in" group signals to them.
