It’s legit if you look smart. If you look retarded they’ll think you’re legit 80 IQ and can’t keep up with the conversation (even if it’s about which brand of toilet paper their favourite celebrity eats to stay thin).

joking aside, it doesn't matter whether you talk a lot (if it's at least somewhat coherent and substantial) or barely talk (unless it's so severe that it's very hard to communicate with you).

as you said - your appearance/vibe is the deciding factor. but being reserved most of the time is the way to go. people often overestimate my intelligence just because i'm calm and don't act like a hyperactive monkey.
