I wanna read the revolutionary phenotype but they say you should read the selfish gene first. so time consuming

I started reading Selfish Gene before realising that it was pretty redundant because the principles had been laid out pretty clearly in a book that I had just read (Origins of Virtue). Would probably be better if I did read it for an even better understanding, I suppose.
