How does it feel being alive in the greatest and easiest period of Human history

I first got a modem in 1988. It was 2.4 kbps and only accessed smaller networks (not internet)

Internet came in 1998. I had some lousy dial-up on an analog line and even the internet subscription was trash tier. But technically it could run to 30-ish kbps.

By this time I mentioned, 2004, I was on a 64 kbps ISDN dialup.

A big jump came in 2005, which was ADSL. This now meant a constant line of 256 kbps with no dialing.

In the ensuing years, they would sometimes increase it. Took forever but started reaching 768 kbps by 2008.
