Theraphists, psychiatrists = mostly waste of time

You need to read Borch-Jacobsen on Making Minds and Madness.

You just need to find the individual onto whom you can perform a transference.

Basically, unless your "therapist" looks like, acts like, smells like, talks like, your role model--or your abuser, same thing--their words will never have any effect on you. As Lacan says, empty speech only becomes full speech (parole pleine), that is, the speech that cures, the "magic of words" Freud spoke of, if you identify with your therapist. By whatever means necessary. And unfortunately, identification and transference are by nature untheorizable, ungraspable, undefinable. (Un)fortunately, at root, psychiatry is nothing but emotional regulation and no degrees, professionalization, references to Lacan, Freud, and Ferenczi, word salads on bookism .net, etc. can change that. And professional psychotherapy selects for, and to a certain extent only admits, a certain type of personality that is generally alienating to most men. It's for femcels, and on what earth can a man undergo a transference onto a femcel. It is thereby in the nature of psychotherapy to demand deprofessionalization in order for it to work.  But alas, it is professionalized. Ferenczi kissing his patient is the inevitable, necessary outcome of psychiatry. Greek tragedy once more.
