Under the new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), the European Union is banning single-use condiment and sugar sachets for dine-in customers in restaurants, cafés, and hotels. Scheduled to take effect on August 12, 2026, businesses must replace disposable packaging with reusable containers or refillable dispensers.
