:the entire point is that wittgeinstein unknowlingly repeated what others had already said decades earlier. i can't imagine how incredibly naive and straight-up ignorant you'd have to be to think that wittgeinstein was the first person to come up with the idea of language games etc. this was already well-established within pragmatist and linguistic circles in europe.
