a recent trend in my country is that femicides are the top plague of society, caused by patriarchy and structural sexism
of course, it is not even close to some emergency issue, it's like 10 cases of men killing their wives each year or so
last year by luck there was a series of the opposite event happening: foids murdering their husbands
so someone on reddit made the observation that for the current year there have been more androcides than femicides, and of course people rushed to criticize him
their argument: there's no systemic misandry therefore these murders are random occurrences and not linked to some broader gender issue, which is of course backwards logic and the point where you can't continue arguing because upon obliterating your enemy they go into denial mode
