its astonishing what kind of malicious shit people will spread behind your back
however a lot of the time (most of the time) this kind of thing is a two way street.. just have a policy of never saying anything bad about people ever, that way it cant come back to bite you
also worth mentioning this kind of thing only applies in a relationship where there's perceived trust, being dishonest with a total stranger is fine
