Why doesn't my pet specialize in divorce and family law?

How hard is it to switch between specializations? 

Could you practically do anything to an extent?

no such thing as specializations once you pass the bar. obviously, most lawyers will focus on 1 or more branches of law, but formally they/we are all the same. you do have the option to get a certificate as a specialist for a certain branch, but that's as meaningful and impressive as ELSA membership during your studies
