do lawyers discuss their winrate?

it doesn't make too much sense considering it's hard to determine what is a W and what an L in both litigation and criminal procedures, considering these are rarely 50:50

also, sometimes clients insist that you take the case despite you telling them their odds are very low, so some lawyers do it for money knowing it's a lost battle in advance

+ many other reasons i cant be bothered listing and explaining

if i ignore these "nuances", my score in litigations in 2025 was 63 - 4 (I° verdicts), but, for 30 - 35 of those Ws, all i had to do was to not have a stroke while writing briefs/elaborating on hearings - I won those before, by building enough rep for clients to come to me.

on the other side, out of those 4 Ls, 2 will very likely be overturned (clinically braindead 115 iq first instance judges + complex cases combo), 1 was the case i took just because i was curious if i can turn the nationally established judicial praxis on a certain issue around, but the judge was too high iq and said she can't rule in my favor for other reasons (lawyers usually discuss their cases before and after the process ends in private with judges they are on good terms with).

the remaining L was a 50-50 case where it wasn't really about lawyers, but about the judge's opinion on a question of facts (won't be overturned, but i might get in the head of supreme court judges with an extraordinary legal remedy (the success rate of these is 5% because it's about surgical precision in legal language and most lawyers are midwitted tryhards who only make money on basic, generic cases like divorces or ex officio criminal defense; mine, when i decide to submit those, is 84% so far)

what type of lawyer are you

the type of lawyer other lawyers hope to become. rӏ equivalent of those legal TV shows that make people want to become lawyers

mostly civil law (- super basic inheritance law), commercial law, company law. criminal law is boring as fuck.
