Good question. I didn't see it. Borderline personality is still a mystery to me, even though I've known a few borderliners. Borderline doesn't seem to be a mood disorder. But both seem to be people of extremes. The core insecurity and behavior of the borderliner seems to be constant. Their fear of abandonment seems to be constant. Their intense desire to be loved seems constant. It's luke they are stable in their instability.
While the bipolar person is in two distinitcly different worlds. I'm either depressed for long periodsor manic for long periods. The borderliner can go from depression to mania fast.
So, speaking in metaphors. The bipolar person is a policeman for 3 months, then a criminal for 4 months. The borderliner is never sure whether it is a police man or a criminal. They constantly need others to tell them what they are at the current moment.
I'm not well-read on either of these disorders, unfortunately.
