What dutasteride do is it blocks 5ar from functioning. So then your testosterone will not get converted to DHT anymore which actually means you get to keep more of your testosterone and thus have higher testosterone levels on dutasteride (because less testosterone gets converted to DHT)
Dutasteride reduces DHT by 97 %.
DHT have some positive effects on male organism but the major negative effect is hair loss and enlarged prostate.
So Dutasteride is a Anti-Hairloss medication
Interesting, thank you for the information. Sorry for my ignorance, but what is the difference between dutasteride and finasteride though? Does finasteride have the same effects as dutasteride?
Also, if DHT is naturally produced by the body what negative effects could bring not having it?
