it seems true innovation is still out of their grasp
their innovation lies more in engineering and aesthetic style, as in they are able to innovate, but they are not as creative as europeans artistically wise. we can see this in the arts if we are to compare the art between that of europeans and the japanese back in the 18th century, but to say they can not innovate isnt true at all
