Israel is forced to have a supply stranglehold or else they will get their hands on weapons and kill the first Israeli citizens they see. They also need to attack military bases to stop them gathering strength for the same reason but Hamas loves to build these in hospitals and schools because their only effective weapon is garnering international sympathy when their own citizens are caught in the crossfire
