I instantly knew I had to say something. I mustered up all the courage I could and I stated loudly: "Black Lives Matter"
This caught their attention. He side eyed me for what felt like the slowest passing 10 seconds of my life, and after that extended his hand. I grabbed his hand and shook it, feeling accomplished. It was this moment that he whispered to me "...you... have aids". Needless to say I'll cherish this moment as the summit of my real lyfe achievements.
