old subhuman on his bicycle today shouted at me that i was in the wrong lane (he was wrong btw)

a few yrs ago I parked at the bicycle lane for less than 60 seconds, because I wanted to pick up an order for the store. 

I was literally sprinting to not stay there for long, because I knew that was illegal, and as I was getting in the car some oldcel woman passed by with her e-scooter and started yelling insults at me

I opened my mouth and without thinking I said "I am sorry I was just leaving" without second thought. How can people act naturally low inhib and confrontational, I don't get it.
