yeah i mean it rly does depend. i think that people can have spontaneous awareness of something "greater" than themselves, like a harmonious integration and outpouring of love for the world.

like go fuck yourself, live in the real world cunt. you will move onto whatever else gives you a sense of self-importance and makes you feel superior to other people because you have no intrinsic security in your own being.

people who have a genuine thing for focusing on and just "feeling out" the supernatural/spiritual feel 0 need to rub it into other people's faces and wear it like a badge of honor. in fact, i cant think of many acts tackier than literally glazing a hypothetical entity so that it could possibly reward you when you drop dead

the most disgusting instance of what i m talking about in the op is the retard who survived a car accident (an acquaintance of mine, a 25 yo or so guy who couldnt care less about god before) with 4 fatalities and concluded it's god who saved just him for whichever reason. very close to textbook definition of evil, actually. if i cared about those retards enough, i d ask him the obvious question, but there's just no point. religiosity = institutionalized narcissism
