I reckon you could maybe do it for 2 years considering most people are absolute retards when it comes to training in the beginning. I have trained for like 2 years quite hardcore and I barely even train right now, I just do some pullups pushups and lateral raises with dumbbells in my room and it is fully enough to maintain my physique, I also don't really notice any additional compliments etc. on the physique of my friends that have been training for 6+ years compared to mine, would probably even say they get less since they reek of tryhard energy whereas I don't.
