who is forcing it? europeans take it up themselves and love it. anyway us superiority means tech 50 years ahead of everyone.
Well with that much exposure you can call it forced. It's not like we have much of a choice.
You are underestimating scientific capabilities of Europe btw. Look up scientific publications by country. Greece has more scientific publications per capita than USA, most advanced European countries do too.

a slight per capita advantage isnt as important when usa has nearly as many people as the entire eu and the wealth of sweden spread across a population 30x bigger. the number of articles also doesnt speak anything to the importance or quality of them. china has more entries than the us but in reality theyre utterly worthless in comparison. there is no comparison. usa = innovation center of earth. western europe is close im not denying that but its small and poor outside of the north
I think you are underestimating china by a lot. They were a 3rd world country in 1950s and in a few years will be the worlds biggest economy. On topic, Chinese articles have roughly the same number of citations as USA articles do have, although more self-citations. It's not like USA is an unreachable pinnacle of technology. I believe if EU federalized and east and south countries caught up with west (it could be possible if they worked towards that, especially now that merkel is gone), they'd eventually surpass US on most metrics.
