well the influencing machine seems to point out something that isnt limited to speech
my interest with psychosis aside personal experience is because the ''voices'' are a sort of mystery
what is language after all, what really is programming? why in the beginning was the word? why do words have authority?
of course there are signs, there are words as written, and then there is 'phonetics' that seems to add an order of command to it
so most of those psychotic cases being mostly of 'voices' instead of other type of 'hallucinations' as they try to frame it, is that theres an implied hierarchy of what such external manipulation means and where it lies at you know
in the influencing machine, the body sensations and the feeling of being controlled from distance seems like an ever more creepy form of fucking someone up, but its still not comparable to voices that have a whole character to them telling you to suicide or to kill people all day and night, you know
