I knew of some guys in other forums that died and it felt extremely bizarre. I was playing with a guy multiplayer aoe3 and next week one of his friends posted on forums that he died. I thought surely it's a lie? How does this even occur.

Nah, if he had liver faliure he would be complaining about how painful it is 24/7
