it's more like: why spend billions on weapons/military for ukraine when i can take all of their natural resources and fuck off?

It seems that it's more efficient to sell billions worth of weapons to Ukraine and Europe, along with exporting energy that they previously got from Russia. Also by "rebuilding" Ukraine after the war, you'd steal everything regardless.

Either way EU gets screwed over and USA can't lose.
