I think OP is referring to people overrating themselves at every corner.

Such as the famous classic: "I THINK WAY TOO MUCH! I CAN'T STOP OVERTHINKING!"

yeah, pretty much that + proceeding with hating on people who don't have the same problem (usually paired with creating an imaginary stereotype of a complete joke of a person you can compare yourself with to feel superior when bitterness kicks in)

in your situation, it would be poor people assuming you are a horrible person because you are rich, and attributing all kinds of moral flaws to you to justify their financial problems
