The cognitive dissonance that parents (especially mothers) have for their sons is almost unbelievable at times. 

I mean, anyone else that wasn't in your immediate family, and who wasn't 20+years older than you could tell within an hour or so just by observing your looks and behavior if girls would even find you attractive.
