should I watch Naruto?

I have never watched a single episode of Naruto, even tho I have been watching all kinds of anime show since highschool. The amount of episodes scares me tho. I remember I watched monster until episode 40 or so and dropped it because it was too soy for me (morally impeccable badass tryina save the world from ultimate evil kind of ordeal) and not finishing felt like a massive timewaste because you can't draw conclusions on the series.
