any theory that makes dating apps a main or starter for an argument for the "hypergamy" case is insane and not real life. couples aren't made on tinder buddy, maybe even instagram has better chances. let's say that tinder nowadays is more of a social media than dating app, it functions to get approval and nothing more, so whether women do use it and let it collecting dust and matches is indifferent  

what i learned from hanging out more is proximity theory, my country is huge, so proximity theory is one of the theories that truly make sense in reality. couples are made in school, after school college, from a friend of a friend, pubs, well any shared places sometimes any in common night out where people meet. tinder definitely isn't it and i don't know many people who use it
