I had never heard of Plaka prior to that week. 
The shuttle driver in Mykonos told me: "Oh Athens cool, you can go to Plaka."

It sounds stupid both in English and Serbian because plaque means dental plaque and "Plač majke božije" means "Crying of the mother of god" i.e. something low quality.

So I sometimes refer to the district as "Plaka of the mother of god."
