I find his ethical stance very carefully considered though, he is an anti-systematiser parochially but has a lot of things that tie in neatly from often disparate writings and sections. I like him mainly as a polemicist, and a free spirit, and also his amazing prose. Theres not much that's uniquely germinated from his mind. He is more of a Montaigne than Goethe
