Read about Selegiline + Levodopa bro. They work in a way that does NOT cause dopamine receptor downregulation such like dopaminergic agonists do (amphetamine etc)
Selegiline + Levodopa are NOT dopamine agonists. Levodopa is the PRECURSOR to Dopamine, like Levodopa is the building block that promotes Dopamine production, Levodopa converts to Dopamine when its in the system.
And selegiline is for making Levodopa absorb better. Basically these parkinsons medications promotes your systems own production of dopamine, makes you produce more dopamine. And does not act on any receptors. So receptor downregulation or tolerance is not an issue with parkinsons medication
