why am i not afraid of animals who strength-mog me to death?

last week, i went hiking with a group of friends and a 700 kg bear showed up out of nowhere

guess my reaction:
1. freaking out and getting paralyzed because my life was in danger
2. trying to think of a joke to make the people with me laugh

i'm so thankful to god for giving me these predator genes

p.s. nothing happened; after holding eye contact with the bear for half a minute, he just walked away
