If you call a woman a 6 irl, it's like calling her below average.

Even a woman who claims she's a 7 irl will get a "OMG... how can you say that about yourself queen? You're absolutely gorgeous" from the panel of self-acclaimed 10s in front of her.

The scale starts at 8 by default for women in the US/Canada.

Every girl either says she's a 7 or a 10. Nothing else.

With 7, it makes her sound like she's not being so full of herself as to make her easy to dunk on, but can "get away" inconspicuously with thinking she's marginally above average because she "puts some effort into her appearance." Saying you're a 7 as a girl is like the "melting so effortlessly into the surroundings as to be invisible" way of responding to this question but maintaining still maintaining something of an ego.

Or they'll say "Yep, I'm a 10" but with the intended subtext being "I'm going to pretend to sort of misunderstand the question by responding that I think I'm a 10 in a "because I really love myself and I'm very confident" kind of way and anything else would be self disrespect and we don't do that here hunny uhhuh" but not dispel the potential suspicion that I actually think I'm a legit 10, an ambiguity that may invite people to poke fun at me but they wouldn't dare because they'd get burnt at the stake in the comments."

you would never answer a 9 because that's neither a humblebutegomaintaining answer  like the 7 nor one that has the strategic excess+ambiguity psychological thing that the 10 has


Just remember when you encounter those "i'm a 10 girls" that they are greasy, lewd, short, balding men.

The really Machiavellian actually hot girls will say "I think I'm a 6" because ultimately they know and everyone knows they're a 10 so it doesn't need to be stated, but this way she makes all the other girls watching it feel insecure. you'll notice crickets in the comments on those videos. nobody wants to gas her up.

Because every girl watches 100s of these videos and does all kinds of machine learning in her head: "ok this girl thinks she's an X and then they ask guy what he thinks she is and he says Z, and imo she is V points prettier than me." They machine learn all the phenotypes and physiognomies of everyone involved until it becomes unconscious split second calculus. 


They'll only call hot girls that are uglier than them to gas themselves up.
