I agree, aristotle says imitation (mimesis) is the most primordial human instinct, and all arts originated as ways of creatively imitating the natural world because simply imitating anything at all is pleasurable. Ie cavemen liked to draw bears and then look at the bear they drew and giggle saying “it looks like a bear this thing i just drew hehe”. Or why babies like to copy you just for the sake of it
