it's actually insane how vicious some people on reddit are

seriously, what i find especially sickening about it though (unlike other sites where people are assholes for shits and gigs), is that they still take the high ground and act like you've done something to warrant all their nastiness

i seriously go on that site with the intention to not offend anyone/have a policy of not insulting anyone on a personal level, but they STILL somehow end up mobbing me and i get banned a day later.

what the fuck?

idk about that

tbh 4chan (using that as an example because it's the antithesis of reddit, in terms of views/outlooks on life), probably has the same problem of lack of critical thinking, it's just less noticeable because their default opinions are more appealing on average

i fault it on emotion. another thing i see, is rushed assumptions, but not sure if you are referring to that too

i'm super agreeable irl specifically to avoid this kind of thing... engaging with these people just results in a stalemate or a fight, there's no point in it

it's insane, though.. even having an uncivil discourse on reddit makes me want to punch my screen... talking to a brick wall etc... you know how it goes

If we re honest, you probably should restrict your interactions to irl only. Engaging people online is a time and mood drain equivalent to tiktok and yt.
