When insults are without wit and doesn't have meta value or potential, then it's pointless spam that's also just hard to look at 

He really hurt my feelings the other day, like seriously 

I'd have to say a net negative for sure

well put. that's why (ironically?) i often got so furious when i'd get those on org. not because they "struck a nerve", but because they are intelligence-insulting and remind me how low i've stooped in my life
