I still remember that moment of excessive TMJ pain due to overused chewing like an autist psl retard lmao.
I was feeling that my whole face would explote due to the amount of pain and strong headcaches that i was suffering.
I am usually very pain-resilient dude but that tmj pain shit was legit hellish. Not even with pain-killers pills my pain was relieve kek. That shit lasting me for like for 2 wholes days.
Never do excessive chewing like a retard like me.
Even Mike jew warns about tmj pain and hardcore chewing.
"just chew falim gum for like 7 hours on a daily basis brah!! "

TMD is no joke. I still have jaw issues from the time I overworked my jaws.
I chewed my jaw to a square shape in 2018. Mastich gum (the one in crystal form) chewing for multiple hours a day, every day, for many months. It looked bloated, with no angularity but it still was broad and square-ish.
I developed TMD and had issues with my jaw for long after I stopped chewing gum. Migraines, Ear/Jaw pain, I even popped my TMJ disc out a few times (very intense pain, you can't close your mouth until you pop it back in).
Mewtards on the good work forums were like: "you are not mewing enough for your arch to develop at the same time with your jaw, remember posterior third!". None of those people actually applied anything Mike preached, they were in for the hype then pulled out. Worst kind of people.

Yeah, happened to me too.
Its due to bad masseters insertions and probably non-flared gonions. It legit ruined my somewhat face angularity and defined cheeks. I Looked like an potato kek.

Yep, same issues happened to me, with the exception of ear pain tho.
In My case I was feeling an intense pain right behind the eyes, like they would poop out or the optical nerve would explote.
Idk why that shit happened but its probable due to severe headcaches or something related o the sphenoid bone but idk tbh.

Most of mew's theories are just pseudocientific bullshit tbh. Even though that his developmental explanations about facial bones and oral/head posture are correct but there is a lot of studies about this long time ago before Mew

I mean mewing is probably the optimal, healthy tongue posture, but there's no way you are gonna fix your malocclusion or rotate your maxilla by keeping your tongue glued at your palate. A recessed person with small airway can't do that shit at all. So what's really the point of advertising mewing to adults? They cannot benefit from it.

Interesting input though, I still remember Mew and his mewing method. To be honest I think I never needed mewing as I already position the tongue as they say, just behind the front teeth.
I also suffered from TMJ pain once, although I don't know why I had it. Could I ask you how long did your TMJ pain last?

chewing and mewing being a thing on these sites clearly indicate these are just congregations of absolute idiots who cant accept hot women dont want them because they look like shit
thinking these do anything is equivalent to staring at the sun and believing your eyes will get lighter that way
really tragicomical

Yeah fair enough, I'd say you're mostly right. I think the effects of mewing are overly exaggerated. Genetics are extremely important, and also chewing hard things properly when you're a child, although it likely doesn't have as much effect later in life..

The funniest moment was Mew making a video being skeptical about double jaw surgery. The nerve this clown has.

After that i have some pain left in my masseters/jaw but not as heavy that before.

Interesting. In my case it lasted more than one week. I hope that you're well now and that the pain went completely away.
