I am really beginning to think that loving your job bullshit is just made up, 0 chance you enjoy anything that you have to do 8+ hours every single day (as in the job itself). It's all about dopamine system or whatever the fuck, my grandpa never went to his job unhappy even though he couldn't give 2 shits about his electrician job, tho he became a severe alcoholic as the time went on so it maybe wasn't all that great.

for a lot (if not most) people, working itself isn't even that hard, but the realization that you HAVE to show up somewhere at a fixed time and stay for x hours is what's killing you psychologically

though, my biggest objection to this topic are neet leeches who think they are making a point by emphasizing this and looking down on "wagies" while their mommy and daddy (or someone else) are providing shelter, food and other basic stuff for them. these sad creatures don't get to make that argument, and them frowning upon people who have to work because they can't/don't want to leech off others is just embarrassing.

though, i could stop working for decades considering my net worth, and i still feel compelled to work, so it's a complex thing. had a couple weeks break this spring and it felt retarded, i just regressed to my 3 yo self. 0 honor and joy in that.

Yeah it really makes my blood boil seeing that, even more when they actively make it their whole personality to insult "wagecucks" by bragging about how they "beat" the system while being incel with sub-average income that have 0 valuable friends and family members that respect them.

Rotting is somehow really fucking hard, I remember a time on a winter break I was playing fifa like 8 hours a day and I don't think I saw daylight for like 10 days, went to sleep at 6, woke up at 5 (no wonder how I slept for so long), I always remind myself of that period when I think about rotting, of course some rotting has to occur every day, but you can really notice how progressively depressing it gets if you up the time on the rotting.

If I had a large net worth I would probably dedicate my life to sports, buy a team or something, play every day, seems like a great job tbh, at least Roman Abramovich made it look like that.

been living like this for 3-5 years easily and it only felt "cozy" because it was complemented by my daydreaming about my future god tier lifestyle. without it, living like that is pure horror, no matter how hard you try to convince yourself you feel fulfilled and better than "npcs" by sitting in your room doing nothing, talking random walks and just existing

You have to do your own private practice tbh. You can earn good or bad but at least you will always be free

that you are a moron

law firm = private practice, just successful and prestigious enough that you can pay assistants, clerks and paralegals to do boring shit for you

being a senior partner = it being "your own" firm

not to mention the typical neet delusion that working for yourself = less work and obligations. just lol

Not necessarily less work but you can go at the time you want, leave at the time you want, finish rest of your work at home, don't go at all if something else comes up. No boss around yelling you to get the stuff done

Is this really that hard to think? Green
